Balanced Scorecard Game
The simulation is developed under the context of the case study called “neXstore” planning and executing a new strategy in a chain of convenience stores, where the recently formed board demands explosive growth for the company.
COURSES IN WHICH THE BALANCED SCORECARD GAME IS USED:
Management Control, Strategy & Business Administration
After using the simulator, students will have learned to transfer a business vision to a strategic map following the Balanced Scorecard methodology, identifying how to measure the achievements of each objective and understanding the impacts of the initiatives carried out to correct or maintain the course of the company. To this end, during the simulation they must decide: which objectives to position in each guideline and in each perspective, how the objectives relate to one another, which KPI(s) best represent the fulfilment of each objective, and which initiative will be implemented in each six-month period of operation.
